GlobalConnect® Gives Back to the Communities It Serves

-

Community is more than just the physical area of where we live; it is the heart of how we are all connected. Supporting our communities is how we can make them stronger and help them thrive.

GlobalConnect takes an active role in helping support the communities where we operate. With locations across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, GlobalConnect’s 100+ affiliates participate in supporting these communities in a variety of ways: from providing meals at local non-profit events, to allowing employees paid time off to volunteer, to contributing sponsorship dollars and donations. GlobalConnect is actively involved in helping to make these communities better.

One way that GlobalConnect gives back to its communities is through our charitable donations program. Our loyalty rewards program enables our clients’ associates to designate a non-profit organization to which we donate a percentage of every loyalty purchase. This enables associates to support the causes that are most important to them personally while also supporting the community. Loyalty rewards program participants also have the ability to change their designations whenever they so wish.

GlobalConnect’s charitable contributions program was designed with several goals in mind. One, to support the local communities where they operate. Two, to encourage a spirit of giving and philanthropy in a way that allows everyone to participate. And three, to enable every employee of its client companies to direct where funds would be given so that their specific charity of choice receives support.

Through this program, as of third quarter to-date, GlobalConnect has donated more than $574,000 to the charities of its customers’ choice. A total of 391 organizations have received donations through GlobalConnect’s program.

Southwire CARES is the organization that has received the most funds to date. Based in Carrollton, Ga., Southwire CARES supports multiple human services nonprofit organizations and provides emergency assistance to Southwire company employees facing financial hardships due to unavoidable circumstances.

Many of the recipients are nationally-recognized organizations, some of which include: The Wounded WarriorProject, Susan G. Komen, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and March of Dimes. Additionally, many local chapters of United Way, Salvation Amy, Ronald McDonald House, Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and others have received donations from GlobalConnect’s charitable giving program.

GlobalConnect remains committed to our clients and their associates in helping to build better communities through our continued support and charitable giving.
